What do you need to be successful?

  • You enjoy working with a multidisciplinary team
  • You enjoy working collaboratively and creatively with clients on the goals that matter MOST to them, whether that be ADLs, IADLs, productivity, or leisure
  • You have strong verbal/written communication skills
  • You use good judgment and apply critical thinking when making client decisions
  • You have demonstrated commitment to professional development

 


 

Qualifications:

  • You have a University Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • You are a member in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
  • You have a valid Drivers Licence and access to a vehicle

 


 

What is a day in the life of a FA Occupational Therapist?

  • You will assess and treat individuals suffering from various neurological, orthopedic disorders, mental health, and injuries
  • You will assist clients with establishing and meeting meaningful goals within their home and in a community setting
  • You will create and implement individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning
  • You will liaise with a variety of community partners and rehab professionals to facilitate client goals and independence
  • You will maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending training sessions and establishing personal networks
