GTA Finance Administrator Job Description (Full-Time)

FunctionAbility is one of Ontario's leading providers of multidisciplinary rehabilitation services. We provide expert assessment and treatment services province wide to people who suffered traumatic and acquired neurological injuries and severe orthopedic injuries. FunctionAbility is currently seeking a Finance Administrator to join our Head Office team located in Concord, ON! As part of the FunctionAbility’s administrative team you will play a key role in supporting our operations with your administrative abilities. The role will entail both finance and administrative duties. Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment? Are you eager to learn and have a passion for accounting? GTA Finance Administrator Job Responsibilities:

Finance:

  • Receive and sort the incoming cheques accordingly
  • Prepare and record payments using QuickBooks (EFT, Cheques, Credit Card)
  • Process private client payments and receipts (credit card via telephone)
  • Maintaining accurate information found in QuickBooks.
  • Stay current with all new regulatory, process, or technology changes

Administrative:

  • Open and Scan incoming mail
  • Electronic filing of mail, emails and incoming faxes
  • File copies (including coordinating with therapist for clinical notes, follow up with legal and Accounting for billing)
  • Maintaining confidentiality of client, customer and company details and information

Other:

  • Review, analyze, propose and implement improvements that strength systems, processes and internal controls
  • Attend team meetings
  • Maintain proper filing system
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to come to our Concord office 3 days a week
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable using computer software including Microsoft Office suite and customer information systems
  • Ability to analyze and process information (data entry skills)
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness
  • High level of organizational skill and customer focus within a multitasking environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a tea

What is a day in the life of a FA Case Manager? - Case Manager Jobs

  • You will coordinate rehabilitation for the client and act as a liaison for the rehabilitation team;
  • You will attend home visits, and family meetings, also medical appointments with clients to ensure consistency of information sharing and follow through with medical recommendations;
  • You will coordinate service referrals and community resources as required, including referrals to other health care professionals, setting up transportation services and pharmacy accounts;
  • You will complete paper work on behalf of the client to seek reimbursement for medical and rehabilitation expenses; and
  • You will provide detailed, comprehensive reports as part of the medical-legal system

What do you need to be successful as a Case Manager?

  • You are client centered and enjoy collaborating with a multidisciplinary team;
  • You have strong verbal/written communication skills and have the ability to work with different personalities;
  • You have a valid Drivers License and access to a vehicle;

Qualifications:

  • You have a Masters Degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Physiotherapy
  • You are currently registered and a member in good standing with your regulated college
  • MVA experience is considered an asset
  • Case management and/or family counselling experience is an asset

  • Support First Responders: Many clients include First Responders and Public Safety Personnel.
  • Goal Setting & Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to establish and achieve meaningful goals related to quality of life and work reintegration.
  • Treatment Plan Development: Create individualized treatment plans using occupational analysis and clinical expertise.
  • Community Collaboration: Work with WSIB, community mental health partners, and other rehab professionals (e.g., Psychologists and Psychotherapists) to support client independence.
